The Oklahoma based southern pop-punk four piece, SpaceCowboy was brought to life by Colten Sylvester (songwriter/vox/guitarist) in 2018 in Oklahoma City, OK. The current lineup that drives the SpaceCowboy machine consists of Colten Sylvester, Samuel Beggeman (guitar/vox), Miriel Etheridge (bass) and Jon Michael Jackson (drums). Each member brings a unique contribution to the SpaceCowboy table because of their eclectic musical backgrounds and combined years of experience in the OKC music scene. SpaceCowboy offers an enigmatic array of poetically raw lyrics synonymous with a driving wall of sound broken up by melodic and catchy verses, psychadelic bridges, and heavy, pop punk infused choruses. Their sound is influenced by an amalgamation of early 2000’s emo/pop punk fused together with the sounds of ACDC with a mixture of southern charm and grit thrown in. Over the past few years, SpaceCowboy has played all around the OKC Metro. The venues that they frequent include The Blue Note OKC, The BlueBonnet Bar and The Deli in Norman, OK. SpaceCowboy was chosen to play during Norman, Oklahoma’s popular and well known event, Norman Music Festival (2021-2023). A starred highlight for SpaceCowboy would be recording material/songs at REACH audio, a state-of-the-industry production facility owned and operated by RIAA Multi-Gold-Status Producer/Mixer/Writer, Kevin W. Gates. SpaceCowboy is currently working on writing new music and preparing for upcoming shows.
